Why do we keep talking about trans healthcare?

Because of statistics like this.
Because every day waiting, in this world obsessed with harassing trans people, is a battle that many don't survive.

So, we keep talking about it, and keep fighting back against systemic transphobia.

Spain's trans healthcare service, Transit, has a wait time to 1st appt *with treatment* of just 3 weeks.

In contrast the avg wait time for the UK is 25 years without access to medication, for that youd need to wait an avg 8 additional months.

Informed consent *works*.

The ‘Transit’ gender clinic in Spain has a 3 WEEK waiting list! 😳😳😳

It covers a population of 8 million, (equivalent to the population of Scotland & Wales combined, or 1/7th of the population of England) It has a total of 43 staff, a majority of whom are part-time, working 6-7 hours per week!

Which is anyone's right at any stage... Maybe someone forgets to restrict a post, or finds it getting unwanted attention (Discover can do that). Or, yes, maybe they no longer wanted to interact *with you* on it, but didn't want to block 🤷
