Where did you come out back when Warren was making this same argument 2 years ago?

I guess -a large percentage- believe that taxes should be increased, but it’s odd framing. You could have also said that a majority of Rs don’t think taxes should de increased to people making over $400k?

What do you think is driving the Ares chart? ARCC, for example, is holding up Ok even though thats pure credit exposure

No clue how to even interpret this. Solid wine though

How would you assess whether this would be well received by the average democratic voter or swing voter? It is unlikely you will get an accurate sentiment in Bluesky

You found it so? I thought it had similar biases to Musk’s comments (opposite direction and lower in magnitude of course).

Analogy with a working family with a finite income stream is one example. Analogy doesn’t hold for many reasons, and hard to take this seriously if this is a key argument.

Have you tested/compared both? How confident are you that the output quality is similar?

That Portnoy piece at the end was crazy. Guy effectively had a put on the rug pull - nice work if you can get it I guess

Briefly scanned the report, but isnt the report kind of agreeing with Musk? It says that there are discrepancies but that the government hasn’t taken the necessary steps to stop them?

Quibbles? It detracted from the experience - the breaks became the main event and ruined the game for me and many others. They deserve the criticism.

The case could be made that this is where Rs were c.2015. Supporting Trump back then was seen as toxic by most elite institutions, so Corps and large money donors stayed away.

He still found a way to win though, which should be a source of optimism for Ds now that the tables have turned

Can someone explain to me why the comparison to Private Institutions, who have a 10-15% F&A rate, is not relevant? Isn’t the fact that 50%+ of grants is going towards OH concerning? Doesn’t it signal administrative bloat?

Just trying to understand.

I hear you, but he received ~50% of the votes. Demonizing half of the country is not a viable path forward.

Truly crazy, I’m also still upset about it and Imm not a Mavs fan. It’s just that if you’re going to do something as ruthless as this, at least make sure you win the asset trade. But to rip the heart of your franchise for arguably a marginal short term improvement is cruel. Nico should resign.

I think X/Twitter helps shape a lot of the narrative. More so than most newspapers (eg. The WaPo). Whether its top 2 or top 10 is an interesting debate, but it is certainly up there

Was still a no brainer trade for him right? $10bn cash outlay (for Elon) gave him control of one of the most influential media platforms in the west.

Sure, you will get biased posters on X saying all types of absurd things. If we get sustained 5% inflation, there will be no saving Trump. There will be nowhere to hide, regardless of what people on X say
