I know Aaron and Ryan @disc-connected.bsky.social have spoken on the presentation differences between Criterion and Region B releases. I’ve been holding out on the Akerman set myself while we wait to see how the upcoming BFI release compares, though the supplements across both are tempting.

I know these are, rightly, celebratory reflections, but I would have liked to hear your collective thoughts on the ongoing transfer and encoding debate, particularly in light of Josh’s brilliant summary of the Chantal Akerman Masterpieces set, which apparently has lots of compression issues.
