It was astonishing how much this area has already been changed by the construction of a new levee to protect against rising sea level. It was also surprising that they were doing this on a Saturday!

Today was @byxbeeparkrun.bsky.social 250th event and 6th anniversary! There was cake, cupcakes, cookies - so many fun things to eat. And there was a reminder of why this was the last Byxbee parkrun for the foreseeable future - a mass of construction equipment doing construction things on a Saturday!

It was funny how all that construction, noise, and crazy parking today conspired to make the new location look a bit like nirvana! But with porta-potties!

To be clear… No one deserves to die for being a dick. At the same time, no dick deserves to be lauded just because they’re dead. So yes, be kind. Be considerate to those who will feel the loss more than you. But also… be honest. And maybe use this moment to make sure when you die, people will raise a glass to your memory.

As much as they try to make each new device seem like a must have, their older devices are still awesome! My iPhone 14 Pro is 2.5 years old and is going like a champ - I can't imagine replacing it yet. My series 5 watch is shockingly over 5 years old and is also still doing well.

Agree on both accounts! took me 68 seconds, which is a record low for me, and there were no wrong guesses!

Not even vaguely close. (I don't think I could click that fast even if I didn't have to pause to think of the answers.) This does make me wonder if it's faster on a touch device than a computer - I'm guessing it is. Maybe by a lot.
