Sheboygan, by Bury Trail 20 track album

Album I've been working on for two intense years is now streaming everywhere. Band is called BURY TRAIL, named for the creepy dirt path behind our house, and massive hour-and-fifteen album is called "Sheboygan," after Wisconsin town where I was born and which explains everything.

Fly lands on back of my hand and won't leave. Feels like he's trying to tell me something, begging for help with a friend who ate too much dead rat.

One rat captured, fatally. Multiple rats still living in wall, gamboling. No, I think that is just a metaphor.

And (re: Beatles '64), as I spend all my surplus time in my studio, where I long ago spent all my money, I recognize I'm still struggling to realize the dreams of an 11-year-old boy, all because of those guys. Thanks, I think. (BTW, new album coming Jan/Feb. Really.)

Beatles '64? Dug it. But my judgment is suspect since Get Back turned me back into unquestioning Beatlemaniac. Intriguing bit on train. Paul saying with maybe angry face: I'm not in a laughing mood (paraphrase). Is it about Jane Asher? Press? Tour fatigue? Need another episode, or 10, to clarify.

Oh, and Murray Hill has the best stage name in the biz.

Bummed to realize next week is last episode of Somebody Somewhere. What a warm, sweet, different, real show. Bridget Everett and cast, great. Reminds me that everything I love, respect and hope for is exactly what some folks--greedy oligarchs and the tragically misinformed--revile. Or pretend to.

Went to Loggerhead Marinelife Center in FL, where they rescue and rehab turtles. Nice place. But I'm afraid this guy put a hex on me. I'm home in CA with a nasty cold.

Finally, a break in the atmospheric river dance.

Midnight and I can hear the rat scratching in the wall. And I don't mean that as a metaphor, or not only.

I started online life as a lurker on the WELL, turned into an habitual poster on FB, but found TW (pre-Leon) to be the one essential social. While encouraged by Bsky (Go, team!) and happy to see many faves here, I feel myself backsliding into lurkerhood. Will try to do my fair share, content-wise.

Then again, I do play a variety of instruments -- guitar, bass, keyboards, bongoes.

I don't know about that "instrumentalist" part. Might have to delete.
