It would be a very dangerous consolidation of one party rule if the Republicans got rid of the filibuster and passed a funding bill they wanted with no democrat votes, so I helped them pass their preferred funding bill that no democrats contributed to.

It's crazy how the Trump admin is FILLED with people who are like, 36, 37 years old going on 55. Is it the plastic surgery? Is moisturizer woke?

In case you're wondering what democrats are going to give up next, it will be reproductive care. The GOP is going to demand federal abortion restrictions in exchange for ACA subsidies.

Schumer is going to guide a cave in but zero senate dems are going to move for a leadership change. They're going to post through it and do nothing.

The centrists in the Senate Democratic caucus saw that the country was rallying to the party in the 2025 elections and resolved that they would do anything they could to kill that momentum.

The amount of people I run into that dont even know there *is* an election is too damn high. There needs to be some petitions to the city to, in concert with community GOTV campaigns, make genuine investment in public awareness of elections. Some kind of non-partisan ad campaign should be considered

I would generally like to see a charter change for a strong mayor - I don't think a city manager system is appropriate for a city the size of Worcester where it's entirely reasonable to have full time elected officials - but I think that smaller lifts first would be good.

That's pretty much the fatal flaw of gerrymandering. It relies on expected voter turnout and the more you stretch it the weaker it gets.

I dont think I could ever be so audacious as to call a family member, complain about how I've been unable to teach a 6 year old how a name change works for over 2 years, and then act offended when I get told off for saying I won't use the name around them.
But then again, I'm not my sister in law.
