The vile people who do this should be treated as garbage the rest of their miserable days. They are anonymous for now, but like the criminals they are, they live in fear of being found out.

The hostages' release is β€œan epochal moment, one that may not end the war in Gaza but will certainly redirect its course,” Franklin Foer argues. β€œI, however, find myself thinking more about the intimate details of what the hostages have experienced.”

A 13-year-old boy was arrested by Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents in Everett after an interaction with members of the Everett Police Department and sent to a juvenile detention facility in Virginia, according to his mother and immigration lawyer Andrew Lattarulo.

The boy’s mother, Josiele Berto, was called to pick her son up from the Everett Police Department on Thursday, the day he was arrested. After waiting for about an hour and a half, she was told her son was taken by ICE, Berto told the Globe in a phone interview.

β€œMy world collapsed,” Berto said in Portuguese.

From the police department, the boy was taken to ICE’s holding facility in Burlington on Thursday evening, where he spent a night before being transferred by car to the Northwestern Regional Juvenile Detention Center in Winchester, Va., on Friday morning, his mother said. The juvenile facility is more than 500 miles away from Everett.

The boy is a 7th-grader at Albert N. Parlin School in Everett, his mother said. The teen and his family, who are Brazilian nationals, have a pending asylum case and are authorized to work legally in the United States, Lattarulo said.

I’m sure there is more to this than just giving him a β€œfree” plane. We know Trump doesn’t do things like this without receiving a personal bribe or big illegal payoff. Money wired to shell corporations? Free passage to Qatar for his criminal gang to escape prosecution? INVESTIGATE THIS!

The federal food program helping more than 1 in 4 young children access fresh produce, milk, and formula will run out of funding next week.

Over 5 million children could lose food assistance β€” all thanks to the Trump-Republican shutdown.

The cruelty is endless.

These are vile disgusting amoral acts by people who don’t care one bit about the American people or even their voters. They think it is fun to hurt people and destroy agencies that do necessary work. Yeah these professionals will go back to work now with a huge grudge, just waiting for payback.

We have armed secret police kidnapping people off the street based on the color of their skin.

When we win: we will haul them before a Senate committee. The masks will come off. There will be consequences.

The reason Mike Johnson is able to keep the House closed and not pass bills to pay the military or fund the government is because Trump is going to circumvent congress and illegally steal that money from other government programs. All to avoid releasing the Epstein files.

Unconstitutionally taking money that the law says must be spent on one purpose & using it for something elseβ€”when it's to establish personalist control over the FUCKING MILITARYβ€”is about as dangerous a constitutional crisis/failure as you can imagine

Also: if you work for ICE, even if you’re not one of the ones arresting citizens or tackling 15-year-olds or zip-tying kids together and segregating them by race, you’re part of the mechanism making it happen, and you should suffer long-term social and post-regime-change consequences.

The question of why the CDC & public health is being abandoned and destroyed is not one Trump & henchmen seem to care to answer. Saying β€œDEI”, β€œvaccines” and β€œnot Trump’s priorities” is nonsense and not an answer. β€œWe are sociopaths who want to cause maximum suffering & death” is closer.

New China tariffs announced during government shutdown and AI valuation debate are a β€˜perfect storm coming together,’ top economist saysΒ todayheadline President Donald Trump’s additional 100% tariff on China erased $2 trillion from the stock market on Friday and possibly couldn’t have come at a worse time.
