No one has done more for the great game of Golf than Donald Trump. These reprobates should have golf licenses suspended and their prize money taken away.

As usual this sort of article misses the point and focuses on the government being the source of all (over)regulation.

Qui bono? Follow the money.

In a capitalist society who benefits most from a complex tax code:

Accountants, tax consultants, wealth planners.

Who benefits most from litigation?

Regulatory compliance keeps a lot wealthy people in business. Lawyers, accountants, consultants, HR, risk.

Bullets and Ballots: The Legacy of Charlie Kirk I WILL NOT ATTEMPT to eulogize the martyr. Others have done this alreadyβ€”and done so with such skill that anything I write would not measure up. I will do something else here: explain, in sober and…

Awfully interesting essay from Tanner Greer on what Charlie Kirk meant for MAGA and for young conservatives. scholars-stage.org/bullets-and-...

Starmer's been awful. He's shown no empathy or political acumen, therefore alienating the public and his party. He has no vision for the UK, and if he did, he lacks the ability to communicate it. His fealty to Trump & his blindness to genocide destroy his reputation for human rights. He's finished.

The Prime Minister doesn’t necessarily need to be a member of the commons, only recent (20th century) convention holds it so?

Rugby has cannibalised the RoI football team. Who would’ve thought this possible back in the 1990s?

Well I think your example aligns a bugbear of mine in that management largely no longer manage a company for the benefit of stakeholders (Friedman’s shareholders included) but largely to jump through hoops of compliance. I’m not surprised JLR were looking the wrong way. I’m just dumbfounded by it.

Very interesting. Regulatory compliance on customer data is one thing, but surely management must see the (shareholder) value in protecting their operations even from a Friedman perspective. Surely they don’t need regulated into action here? Or are you saying they’ve being inhibited in some way?

It makes little sense in that if the dependent in question has little connection to the country of citizenship (UK I assume) and therefore must have a deep and presumably long connection to the home country (Belgium) then why didn’t the dependent (or parent) apply for right to remain or citizenship?
