I think they'd have had at least a green primer. The level of chipping would depend on the outer paint layer if it was done "properly" it would be pretty minimal but if done like ze Germans on the shops on the way over then it would chip very easily

Direct from elegoo or just on various online stores. You also need a cure station, I got the wash and cure as it's kinda all in one but my total set up was circa £500 you can get them cheaper.

The mars is good enough for 1/35 bits, I had that but it was old and I needed a bigger build plate for my larger scale stuff.

Love having a 3D printer. BOSH out loads of stowage in under an hour.

Figures are hard work. Getting better but need to work on smoother blends. Looks fine at scale but rough when zoomed in. Gets the job done for a diorama but not even in the same planet as some proper figure painters.

Yeah, that'll be the difference I use mainly Tamiya as I have loads already but really want to move to lacquers but my model shop only sells the full specific sets of hataka rather than individual ones and I prefer to go in and get certain colours rather than buying a set of 5 for colours

Standard white spirit. I worry anything stronger would risk damage to the other acrylics. Not heard of lighter fluid. Might give it a go sometime.

Some recent weathering with oils. If you don't use oils give them a go. They're super flexible and alot easier and forgiving that other weathering products. Cheaper too.

I think Gramps is the one I kinda want. I've seen Adam savage make one that was amazing with the interior bits and bobs too. But they're all different scales 🤔 food for thought thanks

After chatting with a Hurricane (display) pilot at Cosford it was brought to my attention that propellers stay relatively clean on the front surface due to the forces at play BUT the rear attracts a whole load of crap. Dust, bugs, all sorts due to some weird vortex.
