07.02.2026 10:06 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Cults 3d has quite a few free stl's if you look.
07.02.2026 10:06 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0I think they'd have had at least a green primer. The level of chipping would depend on the outer paint layer if it was done "properly" it would be pretty minimal but if done like ze Germans on the shops on the way over then it would chip very easily

06.02.2026 22:33 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Direct from elegoo or just on various online stores. You also need a cure station, I got the wash and cure as it's kinda all in one but my total set up was circa ยฃ500 you can get them cheaper.
06.02.2026 22:26 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0The mars is good enough for 1/35 bits, I had that but it was old and I needed a bigger build plate for my larger scale stuff.
06.02.2026 22:22 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Elegoo Saturn Ultra 16k. It's great
06.02.2026 22:17 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Love having a 3D printer. BOSH out loads of stowage in under an hour.
06.02.2026 21:50 โ ๐ 33 ๐ 1 ๐ฌ 4 ๐ 0Figures are hard work. Getting better but need to work on smoother blends. Looks fine at scale but rough when zoomed in. Gets the job done for a diorama but not even in the same planet as some proper figure painters.
05.02.2026 13:35 โ ๐ 13 ๐ 1 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0As always, anyone suspected of recording the meet or doing anything untoward will be booted without warning. We will ask that you verify yourself via webcam or voice chat. We've had a few bad eggs in the past.

23.01.2026 11:52 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Last night's adventures in filth. Here's some pictures for the "ThEy DiDn'T lEt ThEm GeT tHaT bAd" and "No CrEw ChIeF" clan to prove they got far, far worse.
23.01.2026 11:35 โ ๐ 31 ๐ 2 ๐ฌ 4 ๐ 0Ok, let Maga go on Jon Stewart and be torn to pieces ๐คฃ
22.01.2026 20:59 โ ๐ 4 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Yeah, that'll be the difference I use mainly Tamiya as I have loads already but really want to move to lacquers but my model shop only sells the full specific sets of hataka rather than individual ones and I prefer to go in and get certain colours rather than buying a set of 5 for colours
22.01.2026 10:01 โ ๐ 3 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Standard white spirit. I worry anything stronger would risk damage to the other acrylics. Not heard of lighter fluid. Might give it a go sometime.
22.01.2026 09:31 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Some recent weathering with oils. If you don't use oils give them a go. They're super flexible and alot easier and forgiving that other weathering products. Cheaper too.
22.01.2026 09:00 โ ๐ 44 ๐ 5 ๐ฌ 2 ๐ 0I think Gramps is the one I kinda want. I've seen Adam savage make one that was amazing with the interior bits and bobs too. But they're all different scales ๐ค food for thought thanks

20.01.2026 20:02 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0I really want to have a go at a Gundam. What's a good stereotypical kit that screams GUNDAM?
20.01.2026 20:01 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 2 ๐ 0After chatting with a Hurricane (display) pilot at Cosford it was brought to my attention that propellers stay relatively clean on the front surface due to the forces at play BUT the rear attracts a whole load of crap. Dust, bugs, all sorts due to some weird vortex.
