I genuinely wish that my city would do their tornado siren test every Saturday at noon, not just the first. No matter where I have lived in town, it is a great reminder that it's noon, and I should probably stop doomscrolling, put on pants, and do the stuff I planned to do.

Yeah, so America was cute husky that has shot out a bunch of tentacles and its face has split open and it's become a giant, bloody flesh monster that wants to absorb everything on the planet.

I remember the time when I was 7, and the adults at my daycare thought it was a good idea to show us all The Thing. I made it to the dog monster before I noped the fuck outta there. Life in America feels the same right now. It's terrifying and grotesque, but I can't leave.

How am I coping with the feeling of impending doom that looms ever closer to the core of my fragile psyche, you ask? I hoola-hoop to New Edition on my lunchbreak.
