Bluesky and Discord seem to be the only AI free platforms for me at the moment. Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp and others are all AI generated toxic sludge. The Internet as we knew it will become unusable. I already no longer consider the internet to be real. LinkedIn were way ahead of the game.

Syndicate Wars

Spy vs Spy is by far my favorite split screen experience of all time. Goldeneye 64 with remote mines almost scratched that itch but not a lot since has.

Aww Freespace... Its had a lot of love from the community. Worth investigating if you miss it a lot. Personally for me Syndicate Wars would be my choice. Satellite Reign just doesn't quite hit the spot sadly...

Running around with generative AI desperately trying to find a use for it seems to be taking its toll on a lot of people. Web3 did the same for many. Everyone needs to put down the solution without a problem and get back to work.

Inspired by a re-reading of Salems Lot I'm designing an ARMA 3 mod thst simulates a vampire infestation. By day you search buildings and hunt for sleeping vamps. By night they search for civilians to turn or your team to feast upon. Find and destroy the master vampire to end the nightmare!!!

I don't like RnB. It's bland and forgettable music. That fuzzed up Drake type vocal is just annoying as hell and it's pouring out of every other car in London. I'm so lonely...

Finally got around to watching Promising Young Woman. Cary Mulligan is great and THAT scene is crazy powerful cinema. Just jarring seeing Schmidt as a bad guy... Still highly recommended.

this is maybe trite at this point but it is in your interest to find ways to create things. basically everyone wants you to be consuming nonstop. making stuff, from cooking to photography or whatever, can help you feel more in control. doesn’t even have to be something you share with other people

Why is it every #Ubisoft game I've ever played on PC is a performance disaster. I really like #StarWarsOutlaws but the framerate is all over the place. Even with the settings universally on low it's choppy as hell. Other modern titles like Indy run just fine on my rig with no need to tweak anything.

#Quantumania is a bit of a mess but there was lots in there that I enjoyed. Especially the weird and wonderful characters that appear in the Quantum Realm. MODOK is a disaster though. Shame considering what a good baddie Darren Cross made in Ant-Man. Without Edgar Wrights writing though it shows.

Decided to hit a few Marvel films I'd missed recently. What on earth was all the dissing of #TheMarvels all about? It's a really fun space adventure movie. Bright and colourful and funny should have watched it a long time ago. Made me now want to watch the Ms Marvel TV show.

#CaptainAmerica #BraveNewWorld is shockingly poor to me and I say this as a huge fan of the previous Cap films and Anthony Mackie. It's just very poorly written and edited. It plods along with no tempo or tension. It doesn't make you care about any if the characters or what's at stake. Such a shame.

Land of the free... 😢

I'm doing a round trip of the Highlands in June. Overnight sleeper train to Inverness from London. I've never been before. As a middle aged Brit I'm kinda ashamed of that. Should be stunning.

Years ago I saw a comment that broke down all different art influences across the various levels in Thief 2: The Metal Age, I kept a screenshot of it for years for whenever somebody claimed the game lacked visual variety… I lost that screenshot at some point sadly. Still, happy 25th Thief 2.

I keep waking at 5... wish i was actually useful at this time of the morning... now I'm going to be tired and grumpy for the rest of the day... and unproductive. grrrr
