I believe the CB and city approved a playground that would be funded by Steiner Studios (which is developing the adjacent lot). Going to take a while to complete, unfortunately.

"It’s so excruciating to see people in New York City with their children doing what I did when I raised my kid here: yelling at them constantly, β€œNo! No! No, don’t!” Because the way that they move naturally, which would be safe in a natural human environment, is not safe in this environment."

Would love to see public health research re: stress levels of caregivers watching young children around cars versus in car-free parks, plazas or public spaces

ORWH Home Established in 1990, the Office of Research on Women's Health serves as the focal point for women's health research at the National Institutes of Health

I must not be wording this right. Lemme try again.

There is only one (1) office (not even an institute) at the NIH dedicated to women’s health research. That office is now being dismantled, with only a bland landing page remaining on their website. This is a five-alarm fire!

Exclusive: Musk aides lock government workers out of computer systems at US agency, sources say Aides to Elon Musk charged with running the U.S. government human resources agency have locked career civil servants out of computer systems that contain the personal data of millions of federal employees, according to two agency officials.

Musk has not been elected to any public office. He has not been confirmed by the Senate to any office. Yet right now he seems to be the most powerful official in the federal government and seemingly more important than the president himself. www.reuters.com/world/us/mus...

So proud to have been on this ride with such incredibly talented public servants to help build this system. Free, universal, high-quality pre-K is giving my children the right start in life and helped my family stay in NYC. Here’s to more β€˜deliverism’ in NYC gov’t!

New York City’s Next Mayor Needs You The 2025 mayoral race is already in total flux. That offers a perfect moment to start talking to a candidate.

Great to see @errollouis.bsky.social giving procurement reform the attention it deserves!

Late City payments have pushed nonprofits to the brink and put our communities at risk of losing services. Learn how our mayoral candidate forum drew attention to this issue: nymag.com/intelligence...
