The Wolf's Secret by Myriam Dahman and Nicolas Digard, incredibly illustrated by JΓΊlia SardΓ  Portabella, is a gorgeous romantic fairy tale.

I got it from my local library. You should too.

Thanks Scifi Reader! Part of my inspiration came from reading Diana Wynne Jones' character Sophie in Howls' Moving Castle and realizing that older ladies never get to have adventures. I wanted Bell to have one! And why not a robot, in a post-organic civilization, with a bit of a twist at the end? :)

Sedation dentistry is no longer weird. Phone cameras are really good. The price of solar panels has dropped by tens of thousands. Southern white rhinos, giant pandas, Arabian oryx and Stellar sea lions are no longer endangered.

And, I can testify, modern cancer treatments are fucking amazing.

Once again reminding folks that calling these child murderers "vaccine skeptics" is journalistic malpractice.

"Vaccine science deniers" is a perfectly accurate alternative.
