The wording says that the origin comes from religious lectures. The word origin actually comes from a root that means to study. Throughout the Arab world, people of all faiths go to madrasa and it simply means school. This is my culture, had to point it out. Love the show and you as host.

Exactly. The system is built to accommodate and aid these monsters. How will someone do anything working within this system? Who is even doing anything. It’s all talk. Average citizens can be punished for the smallest offenses but the rich get away with anything .

They should have an order screen that’s obscured. The comedy club Zanies in Chicago does the phone thing and it works because people can order without having to talk during the performance and the light of the phone isn’t really distracting. It is distracting in a movie though.

On the one hand I remember looking up Olivia Nuzzi because she was cited as a great young journalist and the article I read described her as a lithesome blond which was weird, off-putting sexism. On the other hand, she had an affair with a brain worm infested, bear carcass desecrating married man.

I read the story when it came out and it just felt off. The timing with the me too movement made sense but the horror genre style short story felt exploitative and weirdly one-sided. This makes me feel so bad for that guy who was clearly a nice person that was incredibly anxious and insecure.

Being upset with and hysterical about Hamas is the same as feeling that way about gangs that arise in a poor neighborhood. It’s a lack of nuance and understanding of what drives people toward such extremes. It’s a lack of seeing how these groups arise in resistance to mass wealth and power.
