There's much support to that -- frex, in the past intersex children were often given surgery and raised as girls... or AIS kids were assumed to be girls... but many of them rejected that identity because they KNEW on some level what hormones were theirs -- and why "wrong" puberty is so devastating

in my guesstimation of talking to hundreds of trans people of all genders who desire HRT, about ~75% of us report, within a few WEEKS of our first doses, our minds calming and becoming a habitable place for us for the first time in our lives

What amazes me in the trans community is that, for people who choose to do hormone replacement therapy, the experiences are so similar no matter the gender. When I hear trans folk on T talk bout it, it sounds just like what trans folk on E say: calm, relaxed, and happy.

Now imagine it’s your body and not just your clothes that they’re all wrong and you can never take any of it off. Will getting hormones/surgery make you happy? Probably not. You’ll still have all your issues and probably some new ones. But at least there won’t be this constant low grade agony.

The Supreme Court is sending trans cases back to the lower courts to reassess, in light of the ruling in Skrmetti that green lit discrimination against trans people in red states.

@alli.gay took a careful look at those cases to better understand what the future holds for trans people under US law.

That was never my worry but most cis people I talked to about being on T asked. I suspect that anger takes such central role in this narrative because it is the only emotion cis dudes in this society are allowed to experience without being questioned.
