I googled Pittsburghese a night or two ago, because I thought I was immune and it would be funny, and learned that I've had like 5 words or so that I just assumed were universal but only exist in Pittsburgh. It's not very interesting in general but it blew my mind a little bit.

Yea, I agree it's shallow. I think it's funny and subversive in the context of being a movie that was a terrible idea forced by Mattel, but I agree that there aren't deep depths there. I think that's mostly alright in that if it was deep, most people would not get it anyways, but it's still fair.

The Germans destroyed Jewish art to highlight stuff like Wagner, and it was inherently less interesting, even if you liked Wagner, because it became, in that context, about being German, which is not an interesting artistic subject in Germany. The fight for WASP art is similar imo.

This is true! The discovering is fun and sexy on its own, and also everyone is different. Being good at sex involves some rote learning to an extent, (have to know the parts), but mostly a *lot* of flexibility and communication, because there is no sex algorithm that someone can give you.
