Can confirm grass trimmers fight back. Have a cut on my forehead and lip to prove it. The lesson? If you’re cutting grass next to gravel, use a face shield (or look away).

Yeah. Rain scene in 2005 is πŸ”₯. I never got the one of Darcy post-swim in 1995. But I may have been too young. πŸ˜†

I do love the music in the 2005 version. I have the piano music somewhere as I liked it so much. Now I’m inspired to find it on YouTube and relisten while I work!

The Bennet daughters also seemed a more natural (ie younger) fit for their age. I will always have a deeper love for the 1995 version, but I agree the family in β€˜05 is more convincing all round.

Caffe Nero’s matcha is decent.
Pret’s is not. Coconut milk is too sweet. 🀒

People are always breeding miniature versions of dogs, but i would like some giant ones. I want a dachshund the size of a Toyota Yaris

Me: Was this Bishop involved in prison reform?
AI: Yes! They were actively engaged in changing things between the years XXXX and XXXX.
Me: Can you provide me a source that discusses it?
AI: ….
Me: 🀨
AI: No. There’s no evidence at all they were involved in prison reform.

Take heed!

My current challenge and nemesis. A giant water bottle. It’s like a race through the day checking I’ve drunk enough. Can confirm it’s 1:25 and I’ve only just caught up for today. Apparently hydrating is hard work!?

Now I’ve met Strider-Aragorn and the Elves. At this point JRRT is going to have to work hard to convince me Gandalf is not an Elf-Lord.

I do though it is better than the days when it copied and pasted weirdly (in tables and weirdly indented). Such a faff to straighten it out.

Agreed. I just can’t quite my head around church websites that aren’t newbie friendly. The CoW does a much better job of explaining basic Christian faith and accommodating insider stuff. If I weren’t Anglican I would not persevere!

In, fairness, the Epsicopal Church of Scotland’s is only marginally better than the CofE. But still.

Why is the CofE website so badly laid out? It’s awful and assumes so much knowledge to navigate it. #anglican #churchofengland #churcheshavetheworstwebsites

Anyone else envisage Tom Bombadil as a mash-up of the Mad Hatter and Roger Rabbit?!

A week ago: we were naively camping in two tents that were both too old / cheap to hold up against the rain.

This week, with a new Berghaus 500: β€œDid you see the campers with the 400 Air poles? Tut, tut, tut. Any good camper knows not to get air poles.”

From ignorance to hubris in a heartbeat.

I know heat stroke is a thing to be aware of in pets. And that different creatures have different limits / temps they’re familiar with.

But I also find it amusing the panic in the UK about walking dogs at above 24Β°C. If I’d followed that limit in Texas ours would never have been walked.
