They never ask him anything. Remember when he was supposed to release his tax returns after his “routine audit” was done? That was 10 years ago.

They’re probably right. The framers owned slaves. Perhaps we should not be placing so much faith in the words of men who owned slaves and shat in chamber pots.

Dems should call him Pedophile Donald Trump or Rapist Donald Trump but they always call him President Trump.

The party’s been really bad for a really long time.

I believe it was a turning point. If the Democrats had treated the Garland situation like the constitutional crisis it was then we might not be under fascist rule today.

Obama didn’t govern as a progressive. He aligned himself with Pelosi, Schumer and other centrists who consistently sought bipartisanship. And his polite silence when McConnell refused to let him replace Scalia was an unforgivable refusal to fight for the constitution and the country.

To be fair, not all Dem money is spent on quixotic campaigns against Republicans. A good deal of it is spent on suppressing progressives within their own party.

White guy here. I agree. I used to think that after the bigotry failed to deliver quality-of-life improvements then the prevailing white mindset would shift, but now I believe the bigotry is what they wanted all along.

Good piece, but I have one big gripe: Michelle Obama’s “we go high” remark did NOT sound fine at the time. She said it at a time when the GOP had unconstitutionally refused to let Obama fill a SCOTUS seat and when Trump was running an overtly fascist campaign. We should have been fighting then.

And the putative opposition party’s position is “we hate you too but not as much so you have to vote for us and we’ll blame you if we lose”
