Exactly...

Far-Cry 6 is great imho as with many of their game.

Primary reason for their struggle is huge competition now and acces to tech. Also the anti-woke movement and fact gamers are white-male misogynist.

Like "why put an ugly women" as primary character in Star-Wars is just depressing.

I know it's cool to hate on Ubisoft these days but credit where credit is due; the environment and atmosphere across all their games is top notch.

i donate €100 per month plus occasional part-joke-part-real bounties for features and fixes i want prioritized. i also recently paid a contributor to make & open source a specific plugin i wanted.

and yet, i pay less for my game dev tools than 2 years ago, but get more in return.

i’ve seen a bit of what the funding does and it’s only made me want to donate more. the donation model of the Godot Foundation makes it an organization that prioritizes what game devs want and need, instead of what makes the foundation more money. this is rare, powerful, and inspiring.
