Of course there is! And yet I'm still not familiar with identifying as both religious AND atheist. Of course one can still love and participate in various aspects of religion while not believing, but words have meaning, ya know? I'm very genuinely seeking clarity.

You're absolutely right that I only have a passing knowledge (I specialized in new religious movements, but have a more than basic knowledge base of the majors), but I'm trying to understand how one can be both religious and atheist.
