I’ve been saying all along that the endgame of the ICE occupation of Minneapolis is to make people so afraid, they won’t leave their house to vote in the midterms and beyond.

It’s hard to quantify. Of course I mourn them very deeply, but their support of Trump and his racist policies really made me question whether they were the good people I thought I grew up with.

Both of my parents were Trump voters, both in 2016 and 2020. It was definitely the source of a lot of anger on my part. They both passed away separately in 2024 before the election. I often find myself wondering if they can see what they helped to bring about. Just makes me sad and angry.
