Baseball, and boxing are mentioned, and I guess fencing as well in my main WIP. Fencing isn’t really mentioned as a sport, but rather in the context of dueling. Ket is a skilled saber fighter, and *will* see someone’s blood over a serious injury to her honor.

Let’s just do fantasy:

Cyrdwynn, Heriver, and Strella are human (at first)
Lex, Qi, and Jubal are elfkin (though Lex had his ears docked to look more human)
Ylyana and Pawl both Half-Gren (and therefore technically dracoforms as well as a humanoids)
Arlif Redmask is a D’jonni (a warpiper no less)

Thanks so much! I LOVE writing space combat. Like terrestrial combat is cool af, and I’m enjoying writing about the Mechanized Cavalry, but space combat is what made me love mecha anime in the first place. Not looking forward to writing about fighting in the colonies though—the stakes are very high.

I’m little miss ‘No Days Off’, but thus far this week I have set up individual & business bank accounts, a patreon, and spicy sites. I also unified branding across social media, edited two complete works, made progress on 3 more, and passed a kidney stone. I deserve a goddamned weekend for once.

I’m June, a trans femme SFF writer, and my current projects are ‘High Pressure Low’ the second installment in a serialized kinky, T4T lesbian romance, and ‘Words of Power: On Degradation’ a non fiction piece for ‘Venus in Words’ a forthcoming collection of essays on kink.

Ket can hold court on any subject you care to mention. She might not be an expert, but she knows how to ask good questions and is an insatiable learner. Early tank tactics, Talmudic scholarship, fiber arts, cooking, you name it and she will have at least *something* interesting to say.

I usually have more of an idea of what the characters personality is like first, and then I let the writing gremlin make snap decisions on little things about their appearance until a rough picture starts to emerge. Then I gauge their vibe, make a playlist they dig, get stoned and fill in the blanks

Oooo I will check this out as soon as I can get my gay lil grippers on it. I am a recovering poet, and need more work in my life that isn’t from 2+ decades ago.
