(Sorry for the aggressive encouragement, but I'vehad these EXACT THOUGHTS my whole life and they held me back from doing things for DECADES. So I hate to see it happen to anyone else, especially an artist I like.

For context, the photo shows a much younger me and my late fiancé, Scott Nilsson, who partially inspired a major character in the album; "Burning Bright" is a distillation of the years I spent coming to terms with losing Scott and learning to embrace life again.

Spent this past weekend doing initial recording with @gblasercat.bsky.social for our first album, All Along The Milky Way. They got WAY more pictures than I did during the process, but I made sure to take one of the vocal booth when I was recording "Burning Bright."

Preparing to record an album for the first time feels a lot like planning my wedding did, by which I mean I'm unreasonably anxious and just had a small meltdown over a single tiny detail that won't even matter.

Next to March 3rd there are two colorful star stickers in the boxes under the first two songs. Next to March 5th, instead of stickers, someone has written the words "WRIST INJURY LOL FML" across the first four boxes.

So we record in less than three weeks and guess who injured their strumming wrist?
