ACE AWARENESS WEEK OCT 25-31 What does 'ace' mean? Acw, is a term shortened for the word asexual. What is the definition of asexual? Asexuality is a sexual orientation. It is defined by little or no, sexual attraction to any gender. Like all sexual orientations (gay, bi, pan etc.) it's not something the person chooses; it is simply who they are. Many people confuse libido with sexual attraction, but they are not the same thing. A person's orientation is not defined by their libido, but by what gender they are - or, are not - sexually attracted to. Attraction is an emotion-based motivation with a specific direction, whereas libido is physical, and has no specific direction. SEXUAL ORIENTATION SCALE Asexual: Sexual attraction to no gender Heterosexual: Sexual/Romantic attraction to the opposite gender Homosexual: Sexual/Romantic attraction to the same gender Bisexual or Polysexual: Sexual/Romantic attraction to multiple genders Omnisexual or Pansexual: Sexual/Romantic attraction to all the genders @victoriabarronart

The asexual flag compromises of four stripes: black for asexuality, grey for greysexuals and demisexuals, white for sexuality and purple for community. It is used to represent the entire spectrum of ace identities. What is the asexual spectrum? The asexual spectrum is a broad range of specific identities (each with their own flags) used within the asexual classification. Below are the most notable three: ASEXUAL SPECTRUM Bothsided arrow, from left to right: Asexual, Demisexual and Greysexual Asexual: No sexual attraction is experienced at all. Used as an umbrella teem and as a separate identity (flag as described above) Demisexual: May experience sexual attraction, but only once a deep, emotional bond occurs (flag: black triangle pointing from the left to the right same as in the progress pride flag, small purple stripe in the middle, big white stripe on the top and big grey stripe on the bottom) Greysexual: Experiences sexual attraction rarely, and/or so weakly there's no desire to act upon it (flag: 5 even stripes; purple on top and bottom, then grey below/on top and a white stripe in the middle) @victoriabarronart

Aces may feel a multitude of attractions outside of sexual attraction, including: ROMANTIC ATTRACTION: A desire for a typically romantic relationship with a person. EMOTIONAL ATTRACTION: An attraction or connection to the inner-self/personality of someone. AESTHETIC ATTRACTION: Where a person finds someone's general appearance pleasing. PHSYICAL ATTRACTION: Where a person finds someone's physique pleasing. SENSUAL ATTRACTION: A desire for (non sexual) physical touch/contact for a sense of comfort, bonding or pleasure (e.g. kissing, hugs, cuddling,. massage). @victoriabarronart

ACE AWARENESS WEEK OCT 25-31 Are there any ace symbols? The ace community have a variety of items to represent their orientation. For example: BLACK RING! An official symbol is a black ring worn on a person's middle finger of their right hand. It's worn as a sign to other aces, and as a way to feel connected to the ace community. CAKE & GARLIC BREAD! Cake and garlic bread became items used in many ace memes; usually implying food is better than sex. It's also common online to offer virtual cake (emojis or images) as a welcome for members in ace communities. PURPLE! Although black is the color which represents asexuality on the flag, purple (representing community) is primarily used as THE colour to show your ace-ness! ACE OF SPADES! Ace playing cards, simply due to the name. DRAGONS & AXOLOTLS! Lesser known, are the unofficial mascots some aces have adopted. Axolotls, because they are unusual, and dragons because they are mythical ... a kind of inside joke, since this is how some people see aces. Plus, they're awesome! @victoriabarronart

Pumpkins are all taken down. They've not gone far, they're in a box next to the bed, ready for next year. If I remember to get rid of the xmas decorations that never go up they'll have a nice drawer at some point!

The iPad needed a better screen protector, and this was the test.

It sounds small and stupid, but being able to add a dedicated "Animal Crossing" button that syncs an hourly playlist to the device clock is the kind of insane detail that explains why Nintendo made their own app.

Haven't finished the Lego set, it's a nice looking knock-off that had a strange and unusual packing system, meaning I thought I'd run out of blocks that turned out to be in another pack. It's fiddly that way. It will get finished, probably this weekend.

Pen test #2 in Paint. To get the right feel it needs a sheet of craft foam and a sheet of paper stuck on top to ensure drawing feels smooth. Drawing this way also feels better on my neck, so making it work would help a LOT.

I didn't forget my T, I remembered it just in time! I was busy with Legos. Once I've had food I'll resume being busy with Legos. I've been in space-out mode all day, so having something to be brainless while I do is helping.

Nice try, Nintendo! I can barely even convince myself to play Echoes of Wisdom on your coddled consoles!

After the phone apps kept 'forgetting' the playlist and refusing to see it again, I just started packing the 3DS. GruntGuru on Twitch mentioned it was his favourite MP3 player once a while back, and I kinda agree! I hope you can find a decent app that can remember files for more than a month!

Got a message through the door, the council repairs guy arrived but I must've been too asleep to hear him knock. So he left an invalid number to call (probably not intentional, probably doesn't know it's updated over time).

Considering there are roots growing under my house, I kinda needed that.

The cat demanded treats, so she's out of the house at last. I'm free! I still can't move, but free!

"everyone is twelve now" theory actually makes a ton of sense when you think about your young adulthood and education process as an opportunity to move beyond grievances you felt when you were younger and did not understand the cause/effect of situations, power relationships, or your own emotions
