...to be a "thing", so it isnt diagnosed and as parents you get more frustrated because: why is your child screaming so much and not sleeping. Similar with autism etc, it's easy to dismiss as what kids are like, unless you have experienced e.g. lining up toys vs meltdown then you won't really know.

I draw parallels here with: you are told when a baby is born he might be a low crier or a high crier, basically if they cry a lot you just have to accept it, but in our case our son actually had a milk allergy, he was awake screaming in pain, yet the idea of having a milk allergy just didn't seem...

All the more sensible ones who were prepared to speak out were either kicked out or left.

Globalisation and technology has moved at such a fast rate the human species hasn't properly adapted to the amount of information and not able to understand how the world is so much more interconnected.

Reading that headline, they are not quoting Starmer, they are quoting Farage.

Yeah I'm guessing they circumnavigated the truth because they get to claim it was something Farage said.

Just go and have a look at the comments section on a BBC article for haters. Fwiw I've started reporting comments who say e.g. "wanting controlled immigration makes me racist?" Or "celebrating British culture makes me racist?", clearly not what was said.

I think you could have just blocked him as soon as he posted the rather pointless meme tbh. Why does he care so much about bluesky traffic? And ironically coming over here adding to it.

Great, so your work has made a difference. It's a good thing he's on board, just have to keep at it (unfortunately).

... >> even fewer GP appointments >> blame immigrants .... repeat and repeat and repeat. What remains completely unresolved is the actual issue communities face because that issue is not being addressed *at all* through the focus on immigration because immigration is not the root cause of the issue.

What he meant to say was "Nigel can't be held accountable". End of sentence.

Because also people were literally paying (blue tick) to ram their views onto you and were not interested in anything you would have to say. The more moderate voices would mostly never pay for the blue tick so there was no reasonable debate to be had.

Sensible people are arguing digital ID is a good thing. Ultimately you will have a record if you pay tax, so its not that much big step but it could help around some business fraud. Currently way to easy to setup a company in UK, already tightening up some areas, might not even be about immigration.

But wouldn't it be fun if they just got an expert on which said "ah, he's such full of sh*t isn't he?" And then moved quickly on the thr next topic.

Like the "Stuart Lancaster", cleaning up the discipline after the mess of the last lot. I don't think he needs a story as such, certainly not in the same way Boris and Corbyn had.

He did the whole "my father was a carpenter" bit and it seemed to backfire. I would have thought he could lean into the "boring" side a bit more, hardworking doing to simple things well, but I think they've made some clangers which hasn't helped. I do think he puts the work in.

Glad to see there is an article about Lib dem as well. I guess I'm feeling surprised the reform one isn't splashed as the front page major headline?

There's no BBC article yet. Are they struggling to work out how to report it "impartially"?
