Years later when I was XO of the school I learned that we stopped having the students do it b/c they would self-correct since they knew how to do the tests. So we used a rotating crop of contractors as the subjects who got paid and a taxi ride to and from the school.

Nice! In the summer of ‘93 I was on CGC Red Beech and we set the buoy used in a scene in Carlito’s Way. They paid for the u/w timeband rented a buoy. Their SFX folks did a neat job on the buoy.

When I went through Boarding Officer course in the CG they taught us to do field sobriety tests/breathalyzers by “dosing” half the class one night and then we swapped roles the next.

I wish they had used this legacy psint scheme for the CG DV planes.

We’re hunkering down further south. We invited over neighbors to watch the games. Its been an unholy mix of eggnog, espresso martinis, manhattans, champagne, and beer.
