That was the same supplemental that got us the first C130Js (again - GA delegation). But the costs of the jets, etc delayed the roll out of OTH cutter boats to support Hitron and the initial build out of what is now SMTC

I was at HQ when we got the current 101, IIRC it got added in to a supplemental auth bill by the GA cong delegation and b/c a rep from Florida didnt like the fact the Schwarzkopfs old plane (which was the former 101) wasnt nice enough

Virginia did the Bad Place version of this up until 2020. When MLK Day became a holiday, it was Lee-Jackson-King Day in VA. Then they split Lee-Jackson Day to a separate holiday on the Friday before MLK Day. In 2020 they eliminated the Lee-Jackson holiday and made Election Day a holiday instead.
