What would have been a better use of the money Tom Steyer is spending to run for governor? My first thought was build housing for the unhoused population. Subsidized solar panels in low-income neighborhoods. Could have sent every Californian a $20 In-N-Out gift card.

I guess that makes 3 thoughts because now I would really like to know where he went to school, too.

Room I booked is supposed a "fireworks view" room. I used points and a "parking lot view" room would have cost the same, so we'll see if I'll be able to see the fireworks, assuming there are fireworks that night. Need these next two months to fly by.

1) You know that scene in "Good Will Hunting" when Will asks Sean if he's read all of the books in his office? We should do that periodically with judges.

I used to have this argument with students all the damn time, and I finally started telling them that it's an old timey tradition that I don't really care about one way or another, but if admin walks in we'll both get lectured and if I get lectured because of something you did, I'm going to be mad.

It’s going to be painful, but I think I’m going to skip MLBTV this season. We shouldn’t have to pay for this many streaming services (plus broadcast TV for the occasional national game) to just watch one team and still end up with local blackouts.
