Was struggling to come up with a différance joke, but will have to defer.

From a disability perspective, a great deal of the putative benefits of AI for neurodivergent folks (which doesn't just include autistic folks or those with ADHD btw) could be better provided by PEOPLE. And I'd much rather the capacity and funding go to people.

I find it frustrating that so many seem to think that testers are the only option. Also frustrating how many feel that "but I like test knitting" is an argument against more ethical and sustainable practices.

I may grow to love it one day; after all, it makes for absolutely gorgeous projects!

Can confirm having taken your course! It's still not my cup of tea to knit brioche, (though I very much admire brioche projects), but I am so glad I get it now, and can do it if I talk myself into it.

Well-written post; it's a big part of why I stopped self-publishing. I highly value Tech Editors as a crucial part of any publishing I've done. I couldn't justify using free tester labour, so my work outside of magazines just didn't get seen. I've found other work, and a bit still with magazines.

Two samples of yarn hand spun from Wensleydale wool. The smaller one is fuzzier, less consistent, and less shiny.

Decided to ply the Wensleydale once I had combed a decent amount, then to experiment with flick carding a bit more. I'm going back to combing for the remainder of the batch, but found that it is worth flicking the cut ends prior to combing these locks in order to reduce some difficult tangles.

Absolutely! Felt like out of nowhere when she said it!

We watched it with our kids when they were a little older than when we had first watched it (I remember watching it in class in grade 3), and we were especially shocked about the reason she hated Christmas as we had also forgotten. It gets dropped in there so suddenly and starkly too.

This weekend I'm hoping to spend some time combing and spinning some Wensleydale wool. I've been trying to decide if I want to comb all of it, or if I want to spin two samples; one combed, one flicked.
