What we are witnessing is the normalisation of extremism. If we allow the right to pretend that the German AFD is just another conservative party... or that Donald Trump is just another president... or that Elon Musk was just getting carried away with that salute are on a distinctly dangerous path.

I mean my German is rudimentary at best but I donโ€™t think this means โ€œhe was sending his heart to the crowdโ€

If we can take one thing from the way lynch talks about art I think it should be to never again dilute your vision and don't put off any art you want to make because it all dies with you, there's no other way, there's no one else

That is EXACTLY how I felt after I stumbled upon one of them on here a few weeks ago, shortly before devouring the others. Suddenly, I wasn't so crazy and alone!

Make no mistake. Every politician, pundit & online grifter amplifying Musk's dangerous lies will be aware of this intervention by now. Make no mistake, they are choosing to mislead the public & politicise the suffering of victims in the shameful pursuit of political advantage, attention & clicks.

You're so right. I wish you all the best on your unique journey. I'm seven years into my own, and the weird/cool thing is that ADHD self-discovery never stops, it just keeps unfolding.

Some individuals with AD/HD, especially without hyperactivity, have an activation problem as described by Thomas Brown, Ph.D. in his article AD/HD without Hyperactivity (1993). Rather than a deficit of attention, this means that individuals canโ€™t deploy attention, direct it, or put it in the right place at the right time. He explains that adults who do not have hyperactivity often have severe difficulty activating enough to start a task and sustaining the energy to complete it. This is especially true for low-interest activities. Often it means that they canโ€™t think of what to do so they might not be able to act at all, or, as Kate Kelly and Peggy Ramundo say in You Mean Iโ€™m Not Lazy, Stupid or Crazy?!, they might experience a โ€œparalysis of willโ€ (pg. 65). โ€œThe clothes from my tripโ€”a month agoโ€”are just still lying in a heap in the suitcase.โ€ โ€œI spend a lot of time in bed watching TV but my mind isnโ€™t watching TV. Iโ€™m thinking about what I should be doing, but I donโ€™t have the energy to do it.โ€

Sorry to steal from Tumblr but this is so accurate it actually made me cry. The "paralysis of will" described here is the most painful symptom of my ADHD.

Seen a few folks astonished by my lack of support for ChatGPT and similar. Because AI, right?

Yeah, no. What we have right now is glorified autocorrect. Glorified autocorrect that takes the energy of an entire city to do what it does, plus half of Lake Erie to cool down while it's doing it.

On the same day, The Observer reported that ministers had decided they didnโ€™t want to face the accusation from Farage that the โ€œestablishmentโ€ was trying to rig things against him. All of these arguments are classic examples of Labour bedwetting.
Do we think for a moment, that if an equivalent foreign backer, say Bill Gates, was proposing a game-changing donation to Labour, that the Conservatives or Reform would not change the rules at pace? This is how populists win. They donโ€™t observe norms and rules, while established players do, indeed they fret about them. Moreover, Farage will always claim that the establishment is trying to rig things against him โ€“ heโ€™s made a career out of it.

This, from Lewis Goodall, is bang on the mark.
