I like dinosaurs a normal amount. Radio plays, crosswords, RPGs, I do it all. Cyberrats, Gratitude, and more. https://alrine.carrd.co/

14.10.2025 22:23 โ ๐ 3 ๐ 3 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0People remember Mary Oliver for her nature poems, for Summer Day and Wild Geese, but all I know is that she was a woman who loved her dogs and knew how to express grief, for them and others.

14.10.2025 16:13 โ ๐ 6 ๐ 2 ๐ฌ 3 ๐ 0I went in expecting to hate it.
When I first finished it, I liked it /fine/. By the end of the year, I regretted that it wasn't one of my top 10 games. It was certainly more unique than some of the (excellent!) games I played that year.
I also played it almost entirely in japanese, by mistake
Do you like mechs? Do you like when lesbians love each other to the point of murder? Do you love being forcibly feminized and shoved into screaming metal in order to commit atrocities in the name of some company?
Do you also like when people write straight into layout?
Go read about my mecha game!
Songbirds is my dungeon crawler game that is more persona and disco elysium than it is DnD. Look at this shit: weird classes, survival-horror style dungeons, body mods and magic.

I didn't see the GM side of things, so can't say much there!
I'm anti-OSR in thst I love my character sheet. I want all sorts of cool powers to be on there. The cards help track that, make level up feel more like a choice, and evoke board games. Wins for me!
You can find the first two episodes free on itch, YouTube, or bandcamp

Fans of Cyberrats Radio Hour, rest assured, the final chapter is coming! It's with the editor now, and will be released when it's fully polished.
I trust you'll be happy with the ending!
I want to make all the things in my head. But with that is knowing not all things need to be made.
I want to make money creating things I love. But with that is knowing cost is a barrier to others.
I want to change perspectives with my games. But with that is knowing to some these are just games.
As someone that loves Notorious/Outsider, boardgames like Earthborne Rangers, and everything the duo Jason & Jack come up with, this project is very much targeted at me, and I can't wait for its launch! Check it out if you love #sologames, sci-fi, Torben's great art, and lots and lots of cards.

Notorious: Tales of Hardscrabble Bounty Hunting is coming to Kickstarter 14/10/25!
A collab ft. @mousehole.press & @turbotorbo.bsky.social
A brand new boxed game and original system ft. 450+ unique cards!

Notorious by @alwayscheckers.bsky.social is the simplest, most evocative solo RPG I've played. Perfectly captures the feel of being a bounty hunter in a galaxy far, far away
11.10.2025 00:28 โ ๐ 3 ๐ 2 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0I'm liking Jedi Survivor way more than I liked the first one. I was surprised to see I'd already crossed the 6 hour mark after only a few days.
But the boss fights feel WAY more punishing, and unfun. For the 2nd one, I turned on story mode, and I'll do it again.
I'm glad there aren't more of them!
I used to play without sound a lot (grew up on a Gameboy and often played around others). So it doesn't feel essential to me the way it does to many.

12.10.2025 22:21 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0I think other people notice video game music more than I do.
A lot is games praised for their soundtracks (Nier automata, Chrono Trigger, Clair obscur) fall flat for me (or at least don't hit as hard as others seem to indicate), and this seems to be a running theme.
My enjoyment of Jedi Survivor is directly proportional to how long it's been since I've had a boss fight. Ugh.

Right now we're within spitting distance of 100, and not even a good spitter
