# Login pages should default to login, NOT to register Users will register for your website one (1) time. They will log in *at least* one time. Prioritizing new users over existing ones makes the experience good for everyone person once and worse for the people *actually using your site.* Prioritize the people using your website, not newcomers. Adding another rule to my list of web patterns I wish people would follow.

(along with: Trim whitespace around verification codes, don't start birthday pickers on today's date, respect ctrl+K, and don't respond to mouse up to dismiss a form unless mouse down was also outside the form)

I went in expecting to hate it.
When I first finished it, I liked it /fine/. By the end of the year, I regretted that it wasn't one of my top 10 games. It was certainly more unique than some of the (excellent!) games I played that year.
I also played it almost entirely in japanese, by mistake

Do you like mechs? Do you like when lesbians love each other to the point of murder? Do you love being forcibly feminized and shoved into screaming metal in order to commit atrocities in the name of some company?

Songbirds is my dungeon crawler game that is more persona and disco elysium than it is DnD. Look at this shit: weird classes, survival-horror style dungeons, body mods and magic.

I'm anti-OSR in thst I love my character sheet. I want all sorts of cool powers to be on there. The cards help track that, make level up feel more like a choice, and evoke board games. Wins for me!

Notorious by @alwayscheckers.bsky.social is the simplest, most evocative solo RPG I've played. Perfectly captures the feel of being a bounty hunter in a galaxy far, far away

I'm liking Jedi Survivor way more than I liked the first one. I was surprised to see I'd already crossed the 6 hour mark after only a few days.

But the boss fights feel WAY more punishing, and unfun. For the 2nd one, I turned on story mode, and I'll do it again.

I'm glad there aren't more of them!

I used to play without sound a lot (grew up on a Gameboy and often played around others). So it doesn't feel essential to me the way it does to many.

I'd agree, but as mentioned my credentials are suspect 😉

The biggest exception is The World Ends With You, but others exist as well, of course

I think other people notice video game music more than I do.
A lot is games praised for their soundtracks (Nier automata, Chrono Trigger, Clair obscur) fall flat for me (or at least don't hit as hard as others seem to indicate), and this seems to be a running theme.

My enjoyment of Jedi Survivor is directly proportional to how long it's been since I've had a boss fight. Ugh.
