Just a GenX trans girl. She/her Also a software engineer, an avid reader, and a woman of rapidly shifting hyperfocus.
donβt think this vid can ever be topped
07.10.2025 03:32 β π 1992 π 517 π¬ 29 π 17Cute undersells it! You're too modest. :)
06.10.2025 16:48 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Oh I know.
You don't like the way I think. You love it. :)
Of course you do, I'm amazing! Talented, charming, beautiful, never ever a brat of any sort. I am glorious and without flaw!
But seriously, distance sucks. :(
Well, it appears I'll be joining the progesterone club soon.
I'm curious what, if any, difference it'll make.
Distance is fucking transphobic. Being trans should come with 6 round trip airfare vouchers a year.
And also a yearly voucher for a full service move - - where they pack and move and unpack for you.
Okay what's the difference?
27.09.2025 19:25 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0No. Your friends don't secretly hate you. You're just dehydrated.
26.09.2025 20:22 β π 8453 π 2276 π¬ 117 π 122I've always gotten that vibe from you.
26.09.2025 12:26 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Well, someone displayed absolutely appalling judgment by standing you up! You're a delight!
26.09.2025 01:08 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Well, also because between that and the UHC CEO, it has the chattering classes upset. Dead schoolkids is fine - - it's not their schools or kids - - but violence happening to them? To important people?
Anything goes to keep themselves safe.
Everytime that name pops up, I want to go back to college and become a psychologist solely to explore and write papers about that hot nonsense.
"why did I become a scientist? A morbid need to see how deep some rabbit holes go, and what's at the bottom"
I hit three years on HRT yesterday.
And despite the world - - I am happier, healthier, and so much more alive than I have ever been..
It's been worth it all.
It's very real and very consuming. I feel it says something about how core authenticity is as a need that we not only transition despite the terror, we tend to end up so much happier and less stressed.
23.09.2025 12:43 β π 5 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0so the Economist article isn't attributed an author. but someone in the replies of this 𧡠tipped me off that it was JΙsse Singal. & it turns out that it was, which in retrospect isn't surprising (as he's one of the ppl who would never answer this question):
22.09.2025 23:06 β π 3623 π 1097 π¬ 40 π 85Only 1 person in the whole study went from identifying as trans to not identifying as trans. The 1/5 number came from youth going between the binary and non-binary spectrum.
This headline and post are misleading on purpose to fit the economist's editorial bent on the political issue.
"I've already got a strapon picked out" really does seem to confuse some folks.
Don't understand why, it's very obvious.
Good Eats was a amazing. They did this two book cookbook I loved enough to also give my mom a copy.
The way Brown explained things and laid them out was great.
*inventing Bluetooth* Well, it works about 60% of the time. Thatβll probably be good enough forever.
20.09.2025 04:10 β π 3863 π 436 π¬ 66 π 28That helps! Hmm. That explains why setting the concealer with powder first seemed to make the color a bit bolder. It wouldn't stick as well, but it also wouldnt mix with the concealer.
I'll have to pull out that Nyx white primer and try it. Or buy their black one, I bet that'd make colors deep.
Oh I'll have to try that! I think I have a pot of Nyxs white primer somewhere. I've mostly been laying down concealer first, which now that I think about it is probably best for subdued, natural looks....
18.09.2025 14:54 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0How in earth do you get such color intensity? I struggle to get intense, deep color.
Admittedly I wear glasses, but it seems every time I go to bold color that what looks bold and vibrant in the makeup mirror is maybe a tenth as much so in the bathroom mirror as I do my hair.
The law firms and universities that fought are doing a damn sight better than the ones who complied, as Trump kept demanding more and more from those who surrendered.
He doesn't want to fight the strong. He wants to kick the weak.
They tried it. They tried everything. Starting with therapy and drugs and moving into abuse and electroshock and probably lobotomies and into beatings, institutionalizaton, corrective rape, torture, murder and execution.
They made a mountain of our corpses rather than admit we are who we say we are
All it'll so is make the GOP double down on the issue, making it even bigger and more central -- because rolling over on it shows it's effective, that they have no response, and the GOP can go "even the degenerate Democrats agree on how bad the queers are, but only we're trying to eradicate them!"
17.09.2025 15:22 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0They'd lose more than that. If a party will sell one minority group down the river, why not another?
They'll lose more than queer folks - - they'll lose minorities if all sorts who see it as proof that their rights are also negotiable
It won't gain them a vote. It won't even "neutralize the issue"
It takes a special sort of genius to look at a party filled with minority groups and conclude "the rights, dignities, and equality under the law of minority groups is something we're prepared to compromise on".
If you sell one person's rights down the river, you'll sell anyone's.
Apparently many universities are clearly run by people who never read a history book.
I cannot fathom the historical illiteracy that leads them to rolling over for Trump and then being clearly surprised when he comes back with more demands.
It's like they've never experienced real life.
Oh I'm sure this will turn out as great as his big VR thing.
Nothing has made the utter uselessness and total disconnect of billionaires as clear as the sudden trend of them trying to actually run their own companies.
Why do we expect trans folks to know that they were trans at the youngest possible ages--4 or 5 or even younger--when we know so many of us take so much longer to figure it out? It's time to talk about The Story, as Stained Glass Woman returns with a mega-sized, 5,000-word article!
