Apparently the Spectrum Fantastic Art book is no longer being produced :( My whole artistic career, getting work into Spectrum was a goal as a fantasy artist. I had no idea it was discontinued. I just assumed it would always be around.

Carver Vail in Denver! He was like “this dumb song (Dirt Man) is the one song everyone seems to know me for” lol. My friend is a big fan of his actual music and I’m also now a fan.

It was a great show and these guys have a lot of energy.

And some bosses are SO far from a bench that you have to spend so much time getting back to them!

The trick to Hollow Knight (at least, to me), is the first time you encounter a boss, you're gonna lose within seconds the first few tries.

Then you recognize that boss' patterns and you get further in the fight each time until you beat them! Also, taking breaks with this game is required.

Incredible music, amazing story, this is the sort of game that is gonna make you feel stuff. It’s also very hard so keep that in mind.

“Alaska Equinox”. My third summer in Alaska. I love spending the summers here, where the temperatures rarely break 70 degrees and there’s usually some form of rain.

Beautiful illustrations! I work on a boat that goes through the Kenai Fjords National Park and we see Pigeon Guillemot almost every day. I love their bright legs!

It’s so fucked. They refuse to acknowledge that money received isn’t necessarily money that belongs to the person. It shouldn’t be so black and white.

I’m so sorry :( I was kicked off Medicaid because I made literally $40 too much per YEAR.

So an extra $40 means I go without healthcare coverage. To pay out of pocket is way more than $40. The whole system is broken.

"Seaseeker" and "Magpie Gold". Each of these are ink and color ink washes! The ink I use is archival acrylic ink, so the colors are lightfast and will remain brilliant. These are 5X7 inches (the eagle's wingtips stick out a bit).

Two block prints inspired by some very wonderful Alaska seabirds! I'm working in Seward, AK again as a deckhand and see these birds nearly every day.

Each is 5X7 inches. The one on the left is a Horned Puffin and the on the right is a Tufted Puffin.

Same! I owe more in student loan debt than I’ll ever be able to pay off (especially with compounded interest). My degree allows me to teach and the experience/education was great, but the financial cost was too high.
