Is this a Stuff poll? It would appear few Maori bother with the site…

We had a Nan and Pop a couple of houses down, and an Aunty and Uncle just up the hill. Same kind of story.

I don’t have an extra $500 a year in my Super budget.

I’m going to be paying an extra $500 a year for my modern reasonably efficient Corolla. There’ll be a huge voter backlash as people realise this.

In fact I have gone and made a pre-emptive block. I am not certain he is the party he claims. Seems more like a Troll to me.

I live in Palmy but have never been to Munch- but the person from there has recently walked the Camino, which I walked quite some years back- so I need to go in to say Hello to her!

We have a beautiful ‘fantail’ bird here. Often follows when you are walking in our ‘bush’ - but always because it catches insects etc on the wing, and we humans stir them up.

It might be cold and grey but this magnolia in the Esplanade is looking beautiful.

I don’t think they’re alone. I’ve been to an open home where it turned out home was under contract but conditional. Palmy is at least smaller to travel across.

What do they eat? Have you just stirred up insects for them?

Yellowish spots on the car. Yellow deposits near a few dried up puddles. Pine pollen season. Explains the nose discomfort.

In fact I see there are several writing ones on that day, but that is the one that I think will be of most use to our members.

We had a wonderful meeting about Māori wards here in Palmy last night. Superb speakers and great audience. I hadn’t realised what under-representation of Māori there was around the country before wards were introduced. Unforgivable that ‘majority’ aka white rule might destroy them.

These particular parish records when written by a particular parish priest are wonderful for a genealogist. Baby and both parents named, plus the fathers of each of the parents.

I sort books for Red Cross. We have an old books section. I was surprised to find how few can read Roman numerals, so I tend to get asked about them when others are unsure.

I have actually used mine- in genealogy. Some of the Catholic parish registers are written in Latin. It really helped me work out more about my family line in Ticino especially. This is the baptism of my grt-grt-grandfather in 1835 :-)

One of my nieces was dyslexic. Hated high school and left the day she turned 16. Got pregnant at 17 and ended up at teen parent school. This was fantastic for her. The current flexibility of NCEA meant she could learn in a way suited to her. Left with NCEA Level 3. Finally Knew she wasn’t stupid.

Could farming native wildlife boost numbers? New research looks at how commercialisation might help That's the focus of a recent research paper that looked at how commercialising native species might help with conservation.

Worth noting this is not a "research paper": it's an unpublished, un-peer-reviewed university research project—essentially a 10K word essay—on liberal economics written for a Master's degree in political science. No actual conservation biologists involved. The author is now a policy advisor for ACT.
