Over on the hellsite, trans quiz contestants are being mocked and slandered. I'm so grateful that the actual quiz community is inclusive and won't stand for bigotry. The berks who make such comments about quiz show players on TV seem to not realise that quiz is a non-gendered activity...

Finally finishing season 3 of #TedLasso tonight, needed something easy. I have to admit though, I'm finding Juno Temple a bit distracting despite trying never to focus on body size. She's so skinny, she reminds one of those little Italian Greyhounds.

Seriously though, it's nearly the end of #FreeWillsMonth so if you don't have one in place, it's a good time to get yours sorted.

This #WorldMentalHealthDay maybe let's talk a bit about how Mental Illness isn't a Tik Tok trend. It's not and never has been fashionable. It ruins lives, families, dreams. Lots of us are only still here because we chose NOT to keep trying to fit in. #MentalHealthMatters

Happy Friday. I got 3 vaccines and fainted in the clinic. On the plus side, I am now allowed to go on holiday.

I've spent the weekend recovering from Friday's excursion to London to see the Manic Street Preachers (or 2/3 of them) talk about their new book in London. Lots of bed, lots of pain, but utterly worth it for a great evening and a bonus unexpected hug from James #manicstreetpreachers

I can't sleep because I'm too busy thinking about how bad I am at normal human things like talking to other humans.
I think this is my least favourite thing about being neurodiverse: I know I am bad at communication, but I find it nearly impossible to change my manner of speaking/expressing/being.

I can't see their profile or message at all so maybe I'm blocked by them? I'm not entirely sure how BSky works with that still.

Partner and I have seen them 3 times together, tbh we have pretty similar taste in music. The only things he goes to with friends and not me is emo nostalgia stuff 😂

Aye, we're heading back to London for a few days for them. (I lived there most of my life, had to move out of the city when it came time to buy somewhere of my own because I am not rich lol)

You know what's nice about being a fan of a band like Belle & Sebastian? When you comment on their social media asking a question, they usually reply. Then their tour promoter replies to emails, and tries to find out access information. For one fan. That's a good band, there.

The same way you do any break up, one day at a time. Therapy would probably help? I guess you could also consider the positives you've gained from an otherwise lost decade - experience, resilience, your daughter!

Well at least it's something, and they are things you can replace even if they won't be exactly the same. I don't want to 1-up you - every lost meaningful item hurts - but my box that got lost in transit was the one with a painting my great-grandmother gave me when I was 3. Literally irreplaceable.

Call the moving company, and put a claim in through their insurance. They must have something in place for this kind of thing? Boxes get dropped, even lost sometimes (mine did when I moved back to the UK!).

I guess many jobs fall within the remit of "housewife" if the others have work themselves. Balancing this stuff can be tricky though - my partner works full time (from home) but I'm disabled and can't do the more physical chores. I try to even it out by doing the scheduling, phone calls, paperwork..

I think the way he just stopped trying to get her attention when she pushed him down made me feel like this was a normal thing to him. I get moms are busy, maybe on the bus is the only time she has to sit down and make this phonecall, but the kid's face just killed me.

Yeah, that doesn't seem like the kind of place that would have food appropriate for toddlers, or be happy with parents bringing food for them in tupperware etc... maybe the sitter cancelled?? I'm surprised they were allowed to stay but maybe the restaurant fears bad reviews?

It's important to see that they are arresting Jews for protesting the genocide in Gaza. They want to call it protecting us, but they are the ones arresting us.

Oh fair enough. I guess we have a sort of unspoken barrier around 7.30pm where it stops being Family Friendly and starts being Adult Time, doesn't apply to fast food or casual dining though.

I've literally had to ask small children to stop climbing on my wheelchair before (if they knock the power on, it could be carnage!). What were the parents doing? Having a nice adult chat without even looking where the kids were.
