Alberta's decision to ban books is a dangerous precedent - one that undermines education, silences diverse voices, and chips away at the freedoms we claim to value.

A slippery slope to the path of what you're seeing happen with our neighbors in the USA.

Light movement is great for them. Just be aware gluten free doesn't work for everyone. Going gluten free actually made my RA worse. For me, it's process sugars that can make my flares worse. Mediterranean diet is actually best for RA. Diet in combo with meds can help but nothing will cure it.

America’s view of ally is to charge an unwarranted tariff and then demand you spend $40bn for defence you don’t need.

We would be much better going it alone from here. We don’t need to be tethered to anyone.

If NZ can do it, so can we.

A Chronically Ill Earth: COVID Organizing as a Model Climate Response in Los Angeles BY VIOLET AFFLECK I spent the January fires in Los Angeles arguing with my mother in a hotel room. She was shell-shocked, astonished at the scale of destruction in the neighborhood where she raised…

"In the same way COVID-conscious celebrate each chain of transmission broken, climate scientists recognize that each deg of warming we avoid will be a victory. It’s time for everyone who cares about the latter to engage with the people and the political commitments that make the former possible."

There's nothing angrier than a fluffy 10lb kitten who was prevented from protecting her Mamma in the bathroom due to a closed door. I was just given a very stern talking to.

Urge your provincial governments to reject clawbacks to the Canada Disability Benefit. Provinces must not be allowed to decrease their provincial benefits merely because a person with a disability receives federal support. πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦

I did however make a perfect spot for Mazey to continue her efforts of spilling every cereal container on the floor. Oops. #CatsOfBlueSky

Still much the same. IT services are centralized now with local PS techs for basic things but any programming that needs to be done, it's consultants because PS doesn't pay enough for them to want to be hired.

It never fails. I'm trying to put away my life cream maker but not in the shelf it was on before as it's too high and summer is coming. Rearranged the entire cabinet. Put cereals in containers. Dusted shelves. Whole nine yards. Still no spot for ice cream maker but the top shelf. Sigh.

So every time she email, cards etc, she would sign a different name option. Mamma was her preference but she understood that given my past, mom has a bad connotation for me. So she left it to me. Sadly she passed away before I was able to choose. I'd give anything to call her Mamma now. RIP Mamma.

πŸ’— My MIL told have me many options as to what to call her from her first name, to Mamma to Janet (not her name lol) because oddly after 8yrs together before marriage, I had avoided to call her anything. It all just felt wrong and now that we were both Mrs. P I certainly couldn't call her that. 1/2

I had a pair of these for years. Loved them. Then my RA attacked my toes where they attach to the foot and the toe hump in the shoe hits right where my toes are twisted and I can't wear them anymore. I miss them.

I get it. I am 51 now but I have had rheumatoid arthritis since birth. It is only now that I have peers that sort of get it an even then it's not the same as their complaints are about age related arthritis not autoimmune arthritis. I had an entire life of not fitting in due to my disease.
