But we need our network's help covering (international) travel for the graduate students and early-career researchers attending this unique professional forum, most of whom have limited financial means to pay for these extra expenses themselves!

Despite raising almost 30,000 Euro since October 2023, we're still 7,900 Euro short for the 27th Workshop on National Socialist Camps and Killing Sites, happening in Utrecht from 28 October to 3 November. We've secured accommodation and transport costs

As part of the 27th Workshop on NS Camps and Killing Sites, we'll visit National Monument Kamp Amersfoort. This visit offers a chance to reflect on the site's history and memory, while engaging with our themes of proximity and gaze.

Excursions included a tour through Amsterdam's Joods Cultureel Kwartier, a visit to the Anne Frank Huis, and day trips to both Nationaal Monument Kamp Amersfoort and Herinneringscentrum Kamp Westerbork.

During the preparatory meeting, the Orga Team met with our local partners at the Universiteit Utrecht, checked the conference venue, and explored several historic sites slated for visitation during the 27th Workshop.

Throughout the week, the team engaged in discussions concerning applications. We extend our gratitude to everyone for their overwhelming interest in the project! The team has curated well-balanced panels, approaching the themes "Proximities & Gaze," from various perspectives!

Last month, the Orga Team for the 27th Workshop NS camps convened in Utrecht to finalize preparations for the upcoming conference.
