So we can get grimy about the ‘what’ and the ‘how’ of what the trading job was like.

I’ll cover a day at the office, what kinds of tools would be used for various job functions, and even some recent thoughts about discretionary trading in particular.

If you’re not technical by the standards of 2025, then github, VSCode, the install/import of packages or frameworks, and the friggin’ command line might as well be a lady’s hoo-ha to an incel. No instruction is too obvious.

Neither of these topics can be made too boring for me since I’m a noob. Things that a teacher took for granted show up quickly when you try for the first time.

Recent personal examples where I appreciate explicit exposition because I’m not an expert:

I tend to like “boring” details about how people do things because when you actually try to do things you are taught, it’s never as easy as the mentor made it look.

That pic was from 5 years ago, when I was at Parallax, so while I won’t discuss anything proprietary, I can go into detail about my days in ways that will be interesting, if anything, because it’s not really the type of material you see often.

It gave me an idea.
