As a former teacher, I depended on overhead projectors. It allowed you to prep your class notes in advance, but also to change them while teaching the lesson. However, the main advantage was the ability to write and keep your eyes on the class at the same time.

I use Divvy e-bikes for errands and for ‘valet’ parking near events where the CTA station/bus stop is far away from the entrance. I use a regular bike for long rides along the lakefront or exploring other neighborhoods.

Perhaps it’s the disconcerting contrast of a door opened with an invitation to enter, but it has fangs.

Wonderful article! Biking the lakefront is one of my favorite activities and I now plan to visit a few more of these beaches. We are so fortunate to have public access to the entirety of such a beautiful shoreline.

I read German & really enjoy reading translations of American SFF stories. The fast-paced plots keep it interesting and I learn new vocabulary. This also applies to romance novels. I can read on the bus & not worry if anyone catches a glance. They probably think I’m reading a philosophy tract.

The movie ‘Apollo 13’ had the same challenge - How can a story be thrilling if we already know the ending? We know that they landed safely, but I was on the edge of my seat as the NASA team struggled to find solutions to everything that was falling apart. Both are amazing productions.
