The motorcyclist was speeding. Given a place to do exactly that elsewhere might have saved their life. We can design streets to lower speeds all we want and should, but good luck designing something that also slows someone young and dumb down on a motorcycle. Speaking from experience.

If only there was a way to sign a waiver and get the need for speed out of their system on our publicly owned racetrack. The barrier to entry of track riding is high and costs more just money.

Riding solo on the family cargo bike. The light turns green, I take off and block a car (no bumper) trying to turn left after their arrow expires. As pass, the driver calls me a 'bitch ass'. I provide a middle finger salute and carry on. Apparently,
following the rules makes me the bad
guy.

Just give me the NIMBY who will say "the thing." You don't like change. You don't like poor people near you. You have a hysterical fear of traffic or lost parking. Fine, whatever. Don't waste time with this nonsense about developer profits, or sewer capacity, or your right to be consulted.

Thanks for coming and adding a lived perspective regarding the UDO. A whole lotta folks over here insist this is going to lead to rapid change and cannot be reasoned with. If anything it's not bold enough, but something is better than nothing.
