Here's one of my papers on the topic; this was written with @aliceoven.bsky.social and @basiayoxon.bsky.social. We found that cultivated pet food might have a different market to cultivated meat for human consumption. For example, veg(etari)ans expressed interest in buying it.

Dog treat made from lab-grown meat on sale in UK as retailer claims a β€˜world first’ Chicken used in dog treat was cultivated from single sample of cells taken from one egg, says manufacturer Meatly

This is (I believe) the first time cultivated meat has been available for sale in Europe. In a WORLD first, it's available as pet food! When I started talking and writing about this a decade ago, people thought the idea was laughable.

We show that citizens who embrace more liberal political ideology are most likely to express that they would be willing to boycott Russian products in China.

So far, academics have looked at boycott of Western products in China, highlighting that political action there is often driven by nationalism and ethnocentrism. Our paper shows that it’s not always the case, and many Chinese citizens support more β€˜liberal causes’

This is an important finding, because it shows that a much greater proportion of people than expected might oppose the official line of the Chinese Communist Party, which is on very friendly terms with Russia
