The number of people reducing their meat consumption due to ethical and environmental concerns is growing. However, meat reducers sometimes care for omnivorous or carnivorous pets, creating the βveget...
Here's one of my papers on the topic; this was written with @aliceoven.bsky.social and @basiayoxon.bsky.social. We found that cultivated pet food might have a different market to cultivated meat for human consumption. For example, veg(etari)ans expressed interest in buying it.

Dog treat made from lab-grown meat on sale in UK as retailer claims a βworld firstβ
Chicken used in dog treat was cultivated from single sample of cells taken from one egg, says manufacturer Meatly

So far, academics have looked at boycott of Western products in China, highlighting that political action there is often driven by nationalism and ethnocentrism. Our paper shows that itβs not always the case, and many Chinese citizens support more βliberal causesβ

This is an important finding, because it shows that a much greater proportion of people than expected might oppose the official line of the Chinese Communist Party, which is on very friendly terms with Russia
