No writing today. Took a day trip with friends to play while the temps soared. Will write extra this week to make up for this day off.

Realized high fantasy has, so far, been an all inspired story. I'm now at the point to make conscious decisions. Ugh.

And I actually had an idea for the high fantasy novel. I wasn't thinking of it beforehand, but opened the file and ideas popped into my head for a placeholder chapter.

The day fell apart from the word Go. Busy busy busy at the day job, too much else going on, so almost no writing at all.

The only thing I got done was 1k words on the MG novel. But I did that just now, just before 8PM instead of AM. Thank God it's over.

Started with the High Fantasy today, put in 2 hrs and got the outline finished, then contacted friends to help me brainstorm more ideas.

Middle Grade. It's the book market for middle school/junior high readers. For kids who fall between done with chapter books and Young Adult. So, about ages 9 -- 12 or 13. But kids always read up, so that depends on the kid.

August is off to an iffy start.

I got my 1k words in for the MG book, then took the rest of the day off. Back to it tomorrow and, hopefully, I'll get some friends to brainstorm the high fantasy with me.

My apartment balcony got painted! Went from a pinkish red to a dark, greenish blue. Isn't it beautiful! I've been here 10 yrs with the pink rail. Now there's a new color. Change is nice!

Well, that was a fast month! I've written 31k words on the MG novel, and made tons of progress on the high fantasy! I have the majority of the plot, a few dozen character names and naming scheme, exploring a bunch of different world building topics, and more!

Day 24 - best day!

1k words on the MG novel, no probs.

High Fantasy - I nailed down my plot! Ch 1 - 24 at least. Everything I've been working on finally came together. I know what's happening and the order. Ch 25 and after still up in the air though. It's all good!
