I remember having a ton of issues with it on my first playthrough and eventually I realized it was how I was playing it. The game really will punish you if you try to play it like OG RE4, you have to keep moving.

So the extra cannon ball at the bottom of Bob-Omb battlefield is the kings corpse and Cataquacks are Wiggler corpses, what else in Mario is a reanimated corpse?

It's not really about the graphics as much as it is the art design. Gamefreak has a problem with making the world around Pokemon feel empty, lifeless, and underdone. Compare a basic shot of the surrounding lands in Breath of the Wild and compare it to S/V and you'll see it.

Yeah overall the Slab isn't really that bad, I think I'm just really not a fan of forcing a different play style or hard nerfing someone in an unfamiliar area. I know it's a personal taste.

If you never played Tunic it does something similar and it nearly made me drop the game.

The run through the Slab to get your stuff back and you end up having to fight a gauntlet with ALL your stuff unequipped was just dumb.

I've done a few orders with Hubcity Slaps and they've done a good job so far.

I think Trump Supporter is an understatement. Dude sent a mass email out to ALL of his customers after the "assassination attempt".

I think B1 is better in art and ambience, but B2 is more fun to play.

I think if they had kept the pixel art cutscenes it would've been perfect, those really carried a ton of character and mood.

Team Cherry really took Silksong and went in the opposite direction, ramping everything up while oddly enough limiting the play style options. Sure Hornet has more moves, but there's very clearly one way to play her. I think this game is going to suffer in the long run from these decisions.

you're the first person I've seen make the Blasphemous 2 comparison. They pulled back slightly on difficulty, made fast travel easier, and opened up the game by offering multiple play styles, and I think it's a better game for it.

Regular Radiance. I only played with Godhome for an hour or so. I'm not a big boss rush fan and stacking on more difficulty didn't really interest me. In hindsight, the fact that they closed HK on that makes the leap in difficulty to Silksong make sense.

I managed to roll credits on Radiance and I think Silksong is too difficult. There's a limit and I think they passed it.

I'm also seven years older so there's that, but I'm beginning to believe their vision skewed during development and they didn't realize how difficult the game was going to be.

Also that bench trap is mean.

Not in a "lol so tricky" way, but in a "this should've been veto'd" way.

Every time I've sat down to play this game since release I get a headache after an hour or so because of how stressful it is.

Maybe I'm just getting old.

Man, I'm having very mixed feelings about #Silksong

The world and story are perfect, I want to explore it. But the difficulty is already burning me out and I'm still in Act I. Enemies are way too tanky and two mask hits are way too common.

I genuinely am curious what their play testing system was.

Every few years I remake this map and reassess how the world works. This time I realized where the town of Drup is likely floods. I added a river running around the village, likely made by them to divert flood water. As a result, the river that once connected Soda and Suda lake has disappeared.
