Absolutely. I am hoping for the best here. I am not being sarcastic, I am genuinely curious if he is a starter. If he isn’t or it’s even a question by summer I will be on the train that something needs to be done there.

Genuinely curious if Zawa isn’t given freedom to push up more when we have the ball. If Rydstrom transitions to more of a back four Zawa would then translate more to an 8.

I think we’re all assuming Arfsten is gone in the summer which will likely switch that side from a LWB to an attacking LB.

So we’re very likely to set up the same way we did under Nancy initially. We just don’t have CBs that are in their prime and have the profile/skill to play a back two.

I won’t be surprised if getting these players in isn’t an emphasis this summer.

My interest in Arfsten is, he may be best in a more advanced position in Rydstrom’s system. But he’s not winning that spot in the USMNT and he’s not going to be here that long.

Is Crew going to do him a solid and get him more reps in a more defensive position before the World Cup?

I really am hoping for the best out of Gazdag but I’m still not sold on him being a DP level 8 or 10. It still feels like that spot could be better used elsewhere; but I want him to make me a believer.

I’m assuming Rossi plays more advanced than him on average, and Abou Ali is the most advanced.

I’m kinda interested in a full homegrown midfield. I could be sold on seeing how a Zawa at the 8 and Taha at the 6 would look if Taha has continued to progress. The very end of last season was such a terrible time for him to get an injury that required surgery.

Feels like Crew is in good shape with forwards and outside backs. With the way we’re going to play we’re probably good with outside midfielders.

I’m interested to see how our CBs look; same players but they’ll be different tactically.

Still kind of bizarre how Democratic leadership still won’t lean into “the actual brave, honorable man would stand up for his neighbors and community” messaging. Instead it feels like they still mostly cede this ground without any effort.

I guess I’d still love for them to train together where possible and set up separate scrimmages on friendly days.
