Did you ever think about how much time you spend *judging* as a scientist? Judging papers, research proposals, other scientists...
This onslaught of judging duties hit me hard as a new professor & I've written about the need to explicitly decide one's judging criteria here π
Hello world! We are excited to be part of the budding neurophysiology community here on Bluesky! We will be using this channel to promote NWB-related events posts, and efforts in open neuroscience.

Good research is disruptive and thinking time is central to high quality scholarship and necessary for disruptive research.

(2/n) We introduced a framework to interpret complex spiking neuronal network dynamics using nonlinear Hawkes process models and diffusion approximations. This approach allows extracting tractable equations, offering dynamical insights into behavior and cognition.

Naturalistic encoding of concepts in the brain
@viktorkewenig.bsky.social shows that, while concepts generally encode habitual experiences, the underlying neurobiological organisation is not fixed but depends dynamically on available contextual information. ππΎπ
