Readers fact-checking Trump. I can't wait for him to say the platform he created is biased.

Healthcare is a human right. Every industrialized nation understands this, except one. Even $500/month is too much. I hope the MAGA supporters finally realize who they voted for. Is sticking it to the immigrants, DEI and Trans people worth your health?

U.S. Senate votes 50-46 to nullify Trump tariffs on Canada, with four Republicans crossing aisle The U.S. Senate passed legislation Wednesday that would nullify U.S. tariffs on Canada, less than a week after Donald Trump said all trade talk with its northern neighbour are terminated.

Unfortunately, it does nothing other than embarrass the Republicans except Trump, who is incapable of being embarrassed. They tried this once already. The House can prevent it from even being voted on and Trump could veto anyway. Here we see the weakness in an executive form of government.

I just looked and as far as I can tell it's only a non-binding resolution, not legislation. They tried this before with cancelling tariffs on Canada and the House and Trump ignored it and the Republicans can prevent it from a vote in the House. Even if it were legislation, Trump could veto it.

But will he care? It wouldn't be the first time he ignored the law. But at least the GOP found their balls. That's something to celebrate on its own.

Good times! We didn't actually succeed in burning it down. Troops tried but it didn't take. But we did succeed in chasing away the US President and his wife in the middle of dinner. The food was virtually untouched and none of it went to waste. Better chow than the usual than hard tack.

Study Links Mysterious Lights in The Sky to Historic Nuclear Tests Mysterious lights and reports of unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAPs) in the 1940s and 1950s appear to be somehow linked to nuclear testing, scientists have discovered.

Fascinating. Perhaps someone smarter could skim the study and comment, but it looks like the correlation isn't solid since it uses observational data. Still more likely than aliens, though.

No idea. Depends on the pilot's experience, the equipment, the weather, or cosmic rays. China has also brought their fighters in close to other fighters, like only metres apart. The most recent incident involved some Canadian fighters, so maybe they're playing chicken again. Probably just an error.

It's an old article, but it demonstrates that Canada has the research prowess but lacks the infrastructure. We could have made vaccines quickly instead of importing them, but we cratered our biomanufacturing capacity.

Exactly. And I believe this ad would be covered under fair use not to mention that the Foundation would have no standing unless they actually own the video. But go ahead and try and sue a province with 14 million people. I'm sure your little foundation has comparable resources!

In 1980, Trump promised to preserve Art Deco sculptures on the stylish 1929 Bonwit Teller department store, which was being demolished to make way for his vulgar Trump Tower.

He lied. He destroyed them.

In 2025, Trump promised to preserve the East Wing.

He lied. He destroyed it. (John BaronπŸ‘€)

Trump Says He’s Cutting Off Trade Negotiations With Canada

I said it before, and I'll say it again.: Trump is not interested in cooperation with Canada. He wants to destroy our economy over a misguided belief we'll have to give in and join the US.

Prime Minister Mark Carney says Canada will double its non-US exports as Canadians can’t rely on US - WTOP News TORONTO (AP) β€” Prime Minister Mark Carney set a goal for Canada to double its non-U.S. exports in the next decade, saying American tariffs are causing a chill in investment. Carney…

Since 75% of Canada's exports go to the US, doubling exports to other countries would mean a 50/50 export relationship. Even so, that's a really ambitious target and probably the best Canada can hope to achieve. Geography is going to keep Canada dependent on the US to a major extent.
