It was late and I didn’t think they had a prayer. I’m surprised that some of them got as many points as they did. So glad you’re back and hope your wife is well!

Nice list! I ended up not voting and I’m really glad Gilded Palace wouldn’t have been helped by the 4 points I was going to give it. Kinks’ Arthur, Gilded Palace, Little Richard, Moanin’, Night Beat is what I was going to do.

Those are all excellent picks. Os Mutantes might actually get some love. Carr’s soul won’t do very well, but is deserving. Not a lot of hope for Gentry, but it’s a great little album.

White album took top spot in '68 when we were voting by year. Freewheelin was top in '63, though fewer votes compared to Highway 61 (2nd place in 65). Five Leaves is the one I'd give the top spot to. Cooke got 2 pts for the '63 vote (from me). Some great picks there.

It was a fun couple of weeks of listening. Just checked out the new list and I’m looking very forward to it. You are my jukebox hero!

Always a great time, Richard. I loved your Silver and Morgan picks. I replaced Morgan with the Band, but in the end they ended up being safer than they were looking when I voted.

I was most concerned about Van going through. That was the really hard one to leave off.

But if I were just voting my picks: Van and Rubber Soul would be top 2 with VU at 5. Diddley, Hayes, Dylan, Morgan, Silver, Charles and the band would duke it out for the 3 and 4 slots.

Hayes and the band felt like they could use a push. Diddley just belongs in the final 100 but won’t make it. Mama Africa and Sandy deserved some love.

The lists are an excellent source for finding music! I ended up getting through about 30. Once I decided Van felt safe it left me pretty open to just pick some random albums I like.

That looks like a great list. Look at Doris and Julie with 8.5s. I'll have to give them a try. I'm going to pull out my Mariam Makeba album because I love it. I'm not voting for the Beatles because I already voted my favorite through, but I love both of RS and SPLHCB.

I’ve only listened to a few so far. I’m a big Astral Weeks fan. I won’t vote for either of the Beatles or the Stones. Don’t know much about the Jazz but dig the Morgan and Silver selections. Love the Bull and Fahey banjo stuff. Lots of good stuff to pick from. How’re your rankings going?
