I get it. With friends/reasonable people, I see nothing wrong with opening that can of worms.

Unleashing it by default... That gives me pause, but to each their own.

The Comp Rules solution of "Wishes can only grab sideboard cards" solves all of the headaches by requiring the wished for cards to grab only cards that don't disrupt deck construction rules and are present.

Unfortunately for the format, the sideboard does not exist.

The easy ones are: "Can I wish to break the rules?" (Duplicates, Color Identity). I think those are minor and easy to solve.

The harder more annoying ones - logistics:

"If we were at my house, I have"

I get it, and with reasonable opponents, it would be nice. But the logistical headaches this would create with randoms would make me cry.
