I just learned doing some reading that bald eagles don't get their 'white patch'/'piebald' until they 5 years old, that's crazy. also learned that juvenile bald eagles feathers don't cover their entire leg (which it sort of looks like here), where as golden eagles do have feathers all the way down

Sent this to my dad who I trust for all things birds/nature, and he said the beak pins it as an eagle but he couldn't make a full determination beyond that as well as juvie vs. adult
