The people of Minnesota did that. Not Schumer and Jeffries, not Walz and Frey, not the standard-bearers of decorum. The People.

Joined with neighbors to hold a vigil for Alex Pretti last night. Other vigils across my neighborhood and St. Paul. Our hearts continue to break, but our resolve will not.

We will protect each other, just as Alex and Renee did, and when we do, we honor them.

DOJ lies.
DHS lies.
ICE lies.

That has been established. Do not repeat their claims as fact. Their claims are arguments or, often, misleading propaganda — when not outright lies.

They are seeking to make a case for their lawlessness (and to please Trump), not seeking to inform.

Something that may not be registering outside Minnesota is this: everything—EVERYTHING— the administration says about what’s happening here is a lie.
Big or small, it doesn’t matter. They tell the world untruths, and we in Minnesota suffer the consequences.

Unclear to me if this fucking five year old kid getting kidnapped is breaking through outside of the Twin Cities and I don’t want to speak for anyone else but this has really steeled my resolve. This shit cannot be allowed to stand.

Other nuances on the other claim/defense, but won’t change the outcome here.
