Last Night's Spell and Blade playtest:

The party comes back together after a half year apart. They are called together by the cursetouched hunter, who is asking them to help her investigate some Ancient ruins she knows about from her days as a bandit.

I really want this game to come out!

Also, I would add that failure at easy tasks can be made interesting/appropriate by tuning the consequences of failure accordingly.

I generally agree, although there are exceptions, for example BWHQ games.

To give more insight to my answer, I feel like the creative ping-pong between players and GM is one of the most enjoyable things for me and I am personally not able to replicate that without a clear separation of roles and responsibilities at the table (see agency and authority)

I don't personally enjoy GMless games. There are great examples out there (ironsworn is definitely one of them), but I learned they are not really for me (although I loved playing GMed ironsworn games)

I totally agree. What I could be ok with is saying stuff like "unlike other games you know, this game is not about doing X, Y or Z, but more about i, j and k"

Like, no judgement or opinions, pure facts or flags, although even this doesn't add much to an introduction at the end of the day.
